  • Gary Brown and his wife, Samantha, live in Edgemont, South Dakota. Gary, a former car mechanic, turned his hobby of fossil hunting into a full blown passion, learning along the way with the help of Pete Larson. He has been collecting for 23 years and was lucky enough to find a channel deposit that has kept him very busy on a friend's ranch in Niobrara County, Wyoming, for the past 20 years. During that time Gary learned how to clean and prep his own fossils. Samantha, who is self-taught, was able to pick up the restoration techniques readily. She did a lot of restoration on The World Fossil Finder Museum's tylosaur, "Debby Sue," which Gary also found with his friend and museum owner, Frank Garcia.

We consider ourselves lucky to have Gary and Samantha's knowledge, amazing fossils,  and friendship. Contact us if you would like to learn more about Gary, Samantha, and their amazing fossil discoveries!
